Leupold's lack of offering what I wanted was what started my switch over to Burris. Have been partial to the Leupold "3" series for decades. But wanted an objective a little larger than 40mm, but not the huge 50mm, and Leupold (at the time) had nothing in between.
A few years ago, instead of a Leupold VX-3 3.5-10x on my Savage Smokeless, I opted for the Burris Signature 3 - 12x with its 44mm objective lens. Overall, I believe it's very "comparable" to the Leupold VX-3, but a better configuration, and like Leupold, "Made in the U.S.A." In fact, the Burris may be a physically even "tougher" scope than the Leupold, which is saying a lot.

Good to know. In case anyone is interested, Buds online has the 3 x 9 x 40 Fullfield II with a pair of binoculars for $169.

I am glad it worked out for you, I had some less than happy experience with them many yrs. ago and have not purchased or owned a single product of theirs since. Maybe enough lost customers and sales turned them around.

I bought a pair of their binoculars a few years ago and used them for about a year, but the twist out eye cup broke. I sent them to Burris and they sent me a brand new pair of a higher quality binocular (about $100 more expensive new) for free. I've been very pleased with Burris.
