Quick question:

My crossbow recommends 425 total grain w/ 125gr practice/broadhead tip.

I am shooting Easton Carbon Power that says 430 total grain w/ 125gr practice/broadhead tip.

My practice/broadheads are 100gr. So I am baiscally under the total weight coming in roughly at 405gr total.

Does anyone see any type of problem with this combination. I have shot practice tips from 10 t0 40 yards with good groups so I feel confident but wanted to know your opinion.

Jay

your practice broadhead is not the same weight as the broadhead you will be shooting? I shoot 100 gr muzzy. I have 100 gr, practice tips. But any way if your groups are good out to 40 ,i think you will be fine.

Sorry, guess I should have been more clear.

Both arrows (easton and barnett) call for 125gr heads. I am shooting 100gr for both practice and broadhead.

How are the ones your shooting now patterning? If the pattern is good out to 40, I wouldn't change anything.

I have a good pattern out to 40 with 100gr practice heads. I haven't shot the broadheads out that far yet.

I think the combo is fine to use.
