Didnt have them like that when I was 17. I would let her take complete advantage of me. But being a parent now I would have a long talk to with my son. I don not condone that behavior with teacher to child relations. But I I also know what being 17 is like. Teacher should have known better, the boy well its kinda expected. IMO

Back in the day it would have been no big deal. If it was wrong the parents would take care of it. I did know hi school boys dating teachers but they where close in age. I know of one case the male teacher was dateing a student and it eas on the up and up the parents aproved.

I think its telling that the boy and his family were on the teachers side and that the boy, now 18 yrs old, is still dating the defendent. In fact, they left the courtroom together after the sentencing.
Doesnt make it right or the situation "fair", but it might make the argument that some situations like this need to be looked at on a case-by-case basis.

I have to say when I was in school we had a hot English teacher and I know a # of guys that would have loved to of had that happen to them. That being said it is wrong, but I bet that kid will be bragging for years to come. Im in my 40s and kids today are 10x worse than I remember being when I was in school. You can blame it on TV, the internet, bad parents, or whatever but times have changed and being a new parent I dread what Im going to have to deal with when my son gets older.
