I own a Excalibur Vortex ( vortex I think) I really enjoy shooting it and I expect it to last a long time with little maintanance, it is very accurate and fun to shoot. Other crossbows might be nice because they are smaller and easier to handle in the woods but I really enjoy the simplicity of my Excalibur. I put both style sound suppressors on this year and that made it more pleasant to shoot.

What kind of broad heads do you guys use? I use the hundred gr. 3 blade muzzys in my Horton legend 175,and get good accuracy with them...Do you think they will shoot good using the firebolt carbon arrows in the Equinox?

I have a Vixen and an Axiom and use Slick Tricks. Couldn't get either one to shot muzzys or thunderheads worth a darn. But then each bow is different.

Thanks for the replies...From what I've read on Excalibur crossbows there solid, accurate bows...I'm going to order one tomorrow. I've decided to try the Slick Trick Xbow 150 gr. broadheads...I've been told they shoot great out of the Equinox.

I have the Excalibur Exomag and I shoot the Rage 2" 2-blade. Tough combination.. I've put two deer in the freezer so far this year. Bambi ain't got a chance.
