anybody used them? setting the bushmaster up for the grandkids & liked the reviews for other caliburs.thanks ,mike

The AR I tried them with didn't like 62gr Federals as much as the 55gr V-max Hornady ammo.... using the 55gr for varmints & predators was looking pretty good for the setup.... 16" 1:8 twist barrel.
You would probably need a heavier bullet for deer size animals as compared to 55gr for coyotes......

Mike I have 8 winchester 64gr power points that do well on deer.They shot well out of my bushmaster wtih a 16in barrel. your welcome to them,my wife works in oak ridge,you could get them from her there.

for deer hunting with a 223,,I load the 65 gr Sierra SBT Game King and 25 grs Varget,,when the time arrives pretend you are shooting a bow,and not take crazy shots and put it in the boiler room and you have dead deer

i allways go for the heart/lungs,the only crazy shot i have done in many a years was a head shot with the smoke pole a few years back ,crappieluck asked me whered ya shoot it,had it skinned out with no visable damage,i pu the head & the top was gone lol,only shot i had at about 50y

what is your twist. not all twist rates will stabilize a 62 gr
