A mechanical broadhead is mechanical. There is moving parts on them and they are more prone to not functioning properly. Get a good fixed blade head such as a Magnus stinger, or muzzy or something and u can quit worrying about broadhead performance, and worry more about your shot placement.
JMO
BINGO.....we have a winner!!!!! If you remove everything that has a moving part, then you greatly reduce THAT chance that something WILL happen. It is not if any mechanical will fail...it is when will it fail—as you have unfortunately discovered. The above heads are proven killers, but I will highly recommend the G5 Strikers or Slick Tricks—two other well proven broadheads. The G5's and Slick Tricks are a little more forgiving on errant tuning issues and will fly closer, or the same, as field points.
