I can see this coming like a runaway freight train barrelling down the tracks....The chronically ill, low-incomers (who have always been "sicker"), and the elderly have to return back to the hospital—the hospital gets fined by medicare—the hospital increases its costs to be paid by the private insurance in order to maintain its bottom line—the insurance recovers its costs through higher insurance premiums.....again—mine is already up $2600 since the law passed, and looks like it will go up even further! Thanks Obama so much for passing Obamacare, and lying to us about our premiums going down and healthcare getting cheaper.....you pompous, little "what happens when the tip of a needle barely pokes the skin"——I'm so tired of this re-distribution of our money!!! I can't wait for you to get voted out so I can say what I really want without going to jail!

I feel you, ours recently went up for the 3rd time since this madness started, its up over 35% since Obamacare was enacted.

We have had 2 premium increases since Ohnocare passed. Even got a letter from the insurance company explaining the increase.
I hope the socialist stooges who voted this in suffer from a horrible conscience attack that includes a really nasty rash that wont go away until they repeal this monstrosity.

Mine has gone up almost every year for the past 20 years, this year it went down 14% for the same coverage and company. I about fell over. It's still expensive but i like the reduction. Not sure why it went down, but thru 4 different presidents it's gone up almost every year except this year.

Mine has gone up almost every year for the past 20 years, this year it went down 14% for the same coverage and company. I about fell over. It's still expensive but i like the reduction. Not sure why it went down, but thru 4 different presidents it's gone up almost every year except this year.
That makes you the first person that's has had his insurance reducted in the last 2 years that I have heard about.
Can you tell us more because all we hear about is how high they keep going. My insurance has also gone up all my life but NEVER this mush so fast in 2 years.
please tell us more about it and the company so maybe some of us can also get reductions.

I suspect that his employer changed to a much higher deductible plan with reduced maximum coverages.
That is what my wife's old company is doing. It saves them a bunch of money this year and they passed the savings on to the employees. They are stoked.
What they don't realize is that next year the rates go up again... a LOT. The company plans to partially reimburse the employees for the deductible amount to try and soften the blow but they are going to get hammered regardless.

I'm with blue cross blue shield, same deductible. I work for a small company and the rates are way high. We had the owner drop his coverage and he was the oldest on it. The demographic changed with him off and thats what they said caused the drop. It still it close to $600 a month for my family, and thats with the company paying a portion of mine, they do not pay a portion of my wife and child.
20 years ago I started as a sheet metal helper just above min. wage and family coverage was covered by the employer 100% with a deductible that was a 10th of what it is now. At this rate in I have considered just dropping it and banking the cash.

600 a month you may not want to cnx it quite yet that is real cheap for ins the state has bcbs and it is close to 19k a year close to 1,600 a month. But our ins has went up under o care and we have raised the ded and copay.
