JeepKuntry, i would to. I was not implying it is ok. I just think that a 17 year old boy who has to be approached in some way.
we all know what the num 1 thing on our mind was when we were 17 and young boys and what a big deal it would have been to say what you done, again IT IS NOT RIGHT. you as a 17 years old though you know what you would have done

It happened to a guy I know when I was in high school. Ultimately the woman lost her teaching license and got a slap on the wrist. Last I heard she is a nurse now. I think the difference between male teacher punishment and female teacher punishment is justified. Lets face it, high school boys are wired different that high school girls. It's laughable to say that an attractive 30 year old woman "took advantage" of an innocent 17 year old boy by having sex with him. Who remembers being 17? Would you have felt "taken advantage of?" I can safely say that when I was 17, if it was publicly revealed that I was having sex with a 30somthign year old teacher, neither of my parents would have sought jail time, and when we were alone, my dad would have smiled a winked.

My dad would have patted me on the back, as well I would have if my son nailed a teacher that looked like that. I mean really let's not kid ourselves, any of us would have done her.

Seems any minority or "oppressed" group is "Different" when it works in their favor. They demand equality everywhere else.
I think it's justified to be either equal or not. Can't have it both ways.

What if was your daughter. She had to be taken advantage of. I can see it now. Posse, shotguns, hang mans noose. I guess i see both sides. My dad would have slapped me on the back and laughed but if it were my sister, i promise you the teacher would have heck to pay.

That's exactly my point. I agree it's "unfair" from a fair-for-the-goose-fair-for-the-gander line of reasoning, but in reality, boys and girls are different. Fact. If a male teacher has sex with a 16 year old girl, there is a pretty good chance the girl was taken advantage of. Again, think back to when you were 17. How hard did you have to work to get a 16 or 17 year old girl to sleep with you? I think for the most part, it wasn't easy. So it's likely that if a teacher has sex with the same 16 year old girl, he probably use his position of power to persuade her, regardless of whether it was "consensual." The female ex-NFL football cheerleader with big fake ta-tas DID NOT have to use her "authority" or age to persuade a 16 year old boy to have sex with her. The double standard exists for a reason.

In my opinion the student was a minor regardless of gender. The teacher should be required to be on national sexual predator list and deserves more than a slap on the wrist.
What if the student was female and the teacher was a male? I think most on here would demand jail time for an authority figure.
