I use to fish for Sauger but I do not remember when they begin to show up. I fished below Nickajack and sometimes below Cordell Hull. I haven't fished for Sauger in many years. I could use some info on when and where. Thanks!!!

not sure exactly where are the good spots, but I have caught them on the cumberland below old hickory. Will be going for walleye on thursday below cordell hull, and I bet there are plenty of sauger in there as well.

We accidentally caught some sauger below cordell hull a few weeks ago when we were striper fishing. If your going to go up into the tailwater, make sure they aren't blasting on the cliffs, they will run you off if they are.

Is it closed till further notice or only on days that they blast?

February and March used to be the best months on Chickamauga. The worse the weather the better they bite.

my understanding is that it is only on blasting days. I don't think they blast on weekends. Call this number (Resource managers office) and they may be able to give you more information. 615-735-1034
