So I got a chance to walk some of the new land I picked up to hunt the other day . 80 acres. The place is just a mess. There is no way to get around in there. Hills are steep and logging roads are covered up with tree tops. They must have cut a lot of timber because the remains are everywhere. There is a 20 acre field at the front of the property where there was a mobile home park a while back. The mobile homes are gone but all the roads, drives power lines and plumbing clean outs are still there. The landowner and his wife mow it for exercise. Anyone ever used a lite pole for a climbing tree? Lol I only walked the front half of the property going to try the back entrance soon and hope its easier to move around back there. Can anyone point me in the rite direction for a good topo map app or website?

Ppl do it but I don't recommend climbing a power pole you never know what could happen down the line and could cause that pole to become energized

Mytopo.com As for the land, set up in the treetops if u can. You might want to wait till the first frost though.
