My Kindle didn't come with a wall charger. It really isn't that big of a deal to plug it into my pc. However, I would like it a lot better it I could plug it up up on the counter so my son couldn't grab it while it's charging. It's the same connector as my cell phone charger. Anybody know if a cell phone charger will charge it without hurting anything. I really don't want to plug it up and smoke start rolling out of it.

if its the mini usb charger yes it will work,my wife uses here phone charger all the time.

Mine didn't come with one either. When I tried to use my cell ph. charger witch looked the same it didn't work.

I'll give it a try next time. They didn't short me a charger though, the basic model doesn't come with a wall charger. I guess that is one reason it's cheaper. I got the Amazon cover for it that has the light that swings out. The light in it uses the Kindle's battery. It's nice to not have to worry about batteries or keeping up with a light but that light sure uses the juice.

Yea it'll work I just unplug my phone in the morning before work and switch it out and let my kindle charge while im at work

the wifes came with a plug adapter that pulls off so it will connect to the computer, put it back on it plugs into the wall.

Got a kit off ebay cheap that came with both a wall and a car charger.
