What's your favorite shot placement on deer? Shoulder, high shoulder, neck or heart or lung? Had this conversation at work and was surprised at the different shots guys will take. I like the shoulder, just wanted to throw out and see what y'all like.

I hunt with iron sights so I try to keep my shots at somewhere around 50 yds or less. If the deer is close enough I might try for the heart. Otherwise, a lung shot will give you a bigger/easier target and with either one they usually don't go very far.

I always try for the shoulder shot or sometimes right behind the shoulder.

Shoulder shots put em on the ground. Heart lung is a little larger target and a little more room for error.
