That you never put up trail cams? I have had 3 out around my place. Around 50 acres of 70% field and the rest woods. For the past four months of moving the cameras around I still have only got pictures of 4 deer. A tiny messed up rack 4 pt a momma and her two fawns. I have multiple pics and video of each but no other deer. I have had salt blocks and corn out. Still nothing. Now I'm wishing I would never have used the cameras. My spirits are down about hunting around here. I know there must be more deer around but the thought of not seeing them on camera won't let me be exited about getting out there.

I never have, don't own one, and probably only seen six or eight.

That can be a problem TRIGGER. However, remember that deer can move around quite a bit from summer to fall, through the rut, and into the post-rut winter. Just because few deer are using your property now doesn't mean anything come the rut. Bucks often double the size of their range around the rut, and some bucks even move to new areas during the rut, bringing them onto properties they normally do not cross. It is not uncommon at all for several to many new bucks to suddenly appear on a property in the week or two leading up to peak breeding.
Keep your hopes up.

We rarely get pics of mature bucks however as soon as November and December get here, we see them all over our property every year and kill them every year. The rut is like a box of chocolates... You just never know what you're gonna get! Keep your hopes up!!

I usually end up with several decent bucks on cam, and the disappointment comes when I don't see anything all season...

If I see them in summer or even late summer I rarely see them before late gun season on my farm....I once would get so excited to see bucks in August but now I hope I don't!
