My favorite time of year for fishing is coming fast. Been able to catch a few good ones in the last 2 weeks. The first is off Norris Lake and the 2nd is off Douglas Lake last night.

Not bad fox. Like the fall fishing myself.

Keep reeling them in!

Those night pictures always make the fish look crazy big but you have to get them somewhat close to the camera for the flash to pick up the fish in detail.

Norris fish was 4 pounds 12 oz.

Douglas fish was 5 pounds 12 oz.

I hope to catch a 6 pound 12 oz fish next week. LOL

Nice bucket mouths....

I need to go fishing soon, might go Thursday and troll for walleye, but what I have been missing out on is the fall creek fishing. I hate the leaves in the water but love fishing this time of year because the weather is so nice. Dragging my doe out of the creek yesterday evening made me want to fish there pretty bad.

I caught a 20 inch keeper on Douglas in a tourney a couple of weeks ago but no picture. It's almost time for the brown fish to come up. I've caught 4 over 20 inches from Douglas since last October.

A 20 inch brown fish is a TARP qualifying fish

Yeah I know. I've caught smallmouth and largemouth since moving here that would qualify. Just haven't worried with sending them in. I caught a smallmouth that was 22 1/4 or 22 1/2 last October... I would have to look it up. That was a big one.

It's on my list, I have done 18 1/4" twice and recently watched a buddy of mine catch a 19". I don't get out and fish for smallmouth all the time, only occasionally, but at some point I'll get one that is 20" and probably will take it home to eat too.

Good luck but why eat a 20" SM? A 14" is much tastier imo!
