I have had several stolen in different places. I buy the cheap ones. I hope one day to invest in some better ones. When I do, I'll definetly get a lock for it. Hate to hear about your luck. I'm going to check mine tomorrow. You got me worried now. LOL.

I bought a $400 camera about 10-12 years ago, and it was stolen last year. I guess I got my money out of it, but it still pisses me off today. I usually locked it to a tree, but it was in the middle of the woods on my lease. They'll have to cut the tree down next time! Sorry you had to feel the same disappointment.

Sorry to hear that. If you decide to buy another cam hang them about 8ft in a tree angled down with a stick. Takes more time to set a cam up, but I think they are alot less noticed than at eye level.

I stuck one out one time and it was gone the next morning. I tracked the guys down and prosecuted them both. Long story! It's the risk you take putting out cameras. I run Primos cams so I can live with one being stolen.

When people are stealing cameras you can set up another camera across from it. That will get the perpetrator. Then, you can set one up to catch the license plate. This is why I don't use white flash. I alternate between deer and trespassers when there's an issue. Sort of like tasking satellites.

If you have permission to hunt somewhere and people are trying to run you off make sure the landowner is on board with prosecuting for criminal trespass. We prosecuted one poacher a couple of years ago and he has threatened to get even with us this year. Some people don't get the picture. We went out of our way to be nice when he shot our deer and got caught. We barely said a word while TWRA was citing him.

I'm done being nice to this guy. I go prepared for an armed conflict every time I hunt. Some people just feel they are overwhelmingly entitled to anything they want.
