I don't have wifi at the house. I was told it takes a little while so I didn't want to park my but somewhere that has wifi for thirty min for my phone to update. Someone told me you could also do it through iTunes on the comp so that's what I did. I plugged my phone into the comp and it came up wanting to update first thing. It did say "personal hotspot connected" at the top of my phone. I will be the first to tell you I don't know squat about computers but I'm not understanding why i got data charged to my phone when I did the update through my computer. My Internet is also Verizon on the computer (air card) wonder if I got charged the same data on the air card too?
