I had a fellow point at a cell tower and say, "You know what that is?" I said "Sure, a Cell tower." He said "Nope, worlds best tree stand!"
I'd do it too.

A gentleman that I go to church with has one on his property and he uses the check every month to pay for his new Kabota. Not a bad deal in my opinion.

I wonder if the property is now "improved" and his taxes will skyrocket based on the value of that tower, which ain't chicken feed. Might want to consult with someone, like the assessor, and get an in-writing evaluation.

Make sure if something happens to your mom and dad that the agreement is transferable. I saw that 1 time here in Maryville. The people were trying to sell the property but the new owners did not get money for the tower. Also remember. They will have to have access to the tower 24-7-365. If everything worked out, i would do it in a heart beat. just my .02

Man I would do it in a heartbeat. That amount of land is nothing compared to what you have. Not to mention that the small amount of land that it sits on more than likely can pay the taxes on your entire spot. There is an old woman near my friend's house that had one put up and I believe she is getting like $1800 a month. They pay different amounts for different areas depending on how bad they need one up. It is one of the best things you could ever to do your land in my opinion. If I could buy land with one on it I'd pay the land bill with what I was getting for a month. Asking for free cell phone service for you and your dad and immediate family may not be a bad idea either. If not free like half off or something. All they can say is no!
