So dad calls this morning and tells me Verizon wants to put a tower on his property, not a huge one but what they call a mono tower a little over a hundred ft tall. Its not a lot of land just bout twelve acres and half wooded half pasture. The tower area would take about 100 sq ft and a small concrete structure. I kinda hate to see the property get messed with but at the same time they offered a pretty decent amount of money a month to do it. I'll own the land some day and dad was wanting my opinion and I didnt really know what to say. What do you guys think?

Do it my uncle has one on his property in NC, and they pay him a nice little check once a month for rent.

I'd do it...neighboring property has a tower and deer hang out by it all the time...they will get used to it

I'd do it in a heart beat. That's another stream of income that's tough to beat and you don't have to do anything. Just my .02

do it, if u dont your neighbor will make the money. and the money goes up every year. i have a friend that just had one installed for verizon.

I agree, i work for the city of millersville and we have 5 cell towers. I know talking to some of the land owners, they said it like free money that actually can help pay the taxes every year

I know of a man here that said no. Didn't want the eyesore on his property. Now he gets to look at the tower just over the property line, without the income he would have received.
