Wow what a low life. I read his story last week and was happy for him...sent congrats to him via forum he posted on.
Hope he feels his money was well spent and glad his dishonesty caught up to him. Sad!

They shoulda known sumpin was up when they seen the #24 stickers on his truck. Or the screwed up rack. Anyone have an idea what the deer breeders are doing to produce that kind of size and configuration in two years? Genetic manipulation? Hormones?
Good question, I would love to know as well. You can just see one of those pen raised deer on those farms and tell they just look "different". Has to be some type of hormones in the food. BSK?? Anyone.

Minerals, lots of minerals... At some point you lose the natural characteristics of the deer. I'd rather shoot a 4.5 year old 6 point with a small gnarly rack, than one who's been pen raised, fed supplements, and not allowed to let nature run its course.

And Alabama is about to allow "hunters" to release pen-raised deer into the wild - supposedly, according to some, to "improve" the wild deer's genetics (meaning racks).
As the breeders continue pushing state legislatures and wildlife or agriculture agencies to permit an expansion of their business I'm afraid we'll see more and more of these "hunters." Just not the way I was raised to respect fair chase.
