mowed my yard today and sprayed around the house for the fall bug intrusion and had been going in and out the basement garage door. Was going out and was about to kick a leaf out when I realized it wasn't a leaf. I live on top of a ridge with the closest water being 300 yards downhill and across two rural roads and look what I find in my basement, a baby snapping turtle.About the size of a half dollar. I cleaned the spider webs off and put him in gutter drain where there was some water. It stayed in it for awhile and disappeared.
