just would like to know what kind of life your cams get. i have cuddebacks with 4 d batteries that will last for at least 30 days on a feeder with 600 to 700 pics. what kind of results do you all get with different brands or your homebrews?

On most commercial cam, your gonna come out a lot better in my opinion by going with rechargeable SLA 6 or 12 volt batteries. Bushnells are probably the worst on batteries. You can get two 6v 12ah batteries off ebay shipped for $27. Then a charger for about $12 and never buy another D battery. Doesn't take long to pay for itself. It's really simple to modify the Bushnell to run off the SLAs. I converted my and my dads cuddeback expert to run on 6v SLA batteries and get 2 months on them.
Homebrews run better on rechargeables versus alkalines. You typically get 400+ pics on a set of 2 AA rechargeables. That's not enough for some folks so you can also set them up to run on 2 D cell batteries along with the 2 AAs to get 6 to 8 weeks on them.
