I have never done food plots. I'm sure it varies based on what your planting. In general... What is the average cost per acre ?

Depends on if you calculate in the cost of buying or hiring agricultural equipement use (tractors, disks, chisels, tillers, etc.).
But just lime, fertilizer, and seed, close to $200/acre.

200 for most stuff. About 250 to 300 for corn or beans depending on how much fertilizer used and how close u plant the rows.

It all depends on the size of the plot....$200 is about right. In my opinion (if you already have the equipment), the biggest cost is diesel. Then again, we plant alot more than 1 acre

$1,700 for 8 acres, but that includes 3 tons of lime per acre spread by Co-op fertilizer & seed spread together by Co-op And I done use Imperial Whitetail clover with 50 lbs of wheat per acre and another 3 lbs per acre of red clover
That doesn't cover running cultipacker over it twice, time and fuel this ground was just cleared so didn't have time in disking
Hopefully I should be good 4 years with just a little bushhogging spraying and fertilizer the next 3

50 an acre for me.6 acres for 300 bucks. 1.5 acres of that just gets overseeded wheat though because its perennial clover. Seed is about my only cost. Dont use synthetic fertilizers except in rare instances. Im not adding in cost of clearing the fields or equipment years ago though. Lime was applied 3 years ago at a very low cost, 12 tons for like 200 bucks.

About $90 per acre for seed and fertilizer. another $5 for gly, another $5 for fuel...
so without factoring cost to drive to our property about $100 per acre for fall mix... about $130 for our perennial clover and alfalfa plots.
How are you coming up with $200 per acre? Our seed has averaged $50 per acre for 3-4 years now (2 bags per acre at $23 and this year a mix where you only put out 50 lb. per acre and it runs $45 per bag). If you go with 200 lb. to the acre of fert. that would be another $50- $60.
