Just wondering how many on here hunt alone. I use to hunt with several different friends but they all have either gave it up or got work to do. Was wondering if there are any guys on here from N/E Tenn who would want to hunt some. I don't mind to hunt alone I have killed some good deer alone but hunting to me is a lot more than just sitting in a tree its the fellowship of one another before, during and after the hunt. I do travel some to fort campbell and even make a trip to ohio sometimes so if anyone wants to hint the woods drop me a line. God bless you all....

I too lack consistent partners, and am usually enjoying the woods alone. I live close to Ft Campbell, and am from Ohio and get back sometimes to hunt there. PM when your over my way, or planning a northern trip, Ill do the same if I get out your way

Unfortunately, I have outlived all my partners. I have been hunting alone for quite a few years now. Tell the truth, I rather enjoy it.

Last year was my first year to hunt with some friends.Rode in on carts and texted back and forth. It was fun i havent had in years.

But i still enjoy being be myself.Dont feel like i have to go.If i oversleep.Thats OK.Come and go as i please.Hunt when and where i want.

Both sides have their good and bad sides.

I usually prefer to hunt alone, but sometimes I enjoy the company and the memories made with a buddy and not just you by yourself.

i spend alot of time checking cameras, stands, scouting, etc and I do that all alone, but most of that time is spent preparing hunting spots for other people, and when i have guests I dont hunt. I do go on several hunting trips a year and usually they are with the same buddy who loves a hunting trip just as much as I do, and is probably one of the few people i can stand to be in a truck with for 20 hours. but when i am hunting for myself whether it be for meat or a good set of antlers I hunt alone...

i like hunting with someone, being with someone when they kill is just as exciting for me as when i kill myself. i used to have a farm locally i could hunt but only by myself and it was nice, but sucked dragging with no help

I hunt with my sons...once in awhile my friend Jerry but he isn't around much any more. I'm truely blessed to have three sons that enjoy hunting and fishing. Over the years I've had some hunting partners but none I enjoy hunting with as much as my sons. Still have some that come to my deer camp and I do like having them there...here's a pic taken a couple years ago of me and my sons at the cabin...

I usually hunt with a couple of friends, but because of work scheduling its hard for us to get together. Last year while hunting alone I killed an 8pointer and in the process of trying to drag him out, I slipped and fell almost a hundred feet down a steep ravine. Me and the deer finally came to a stop and I thought I was a dead man because I couldn't move at all, but after a couple of hours I was able to get to my feet, turns out that I blew my rotator and shoulder out, I was lucky that an antler didn't impale me.I guess the lord has more for me to do on this earth. To make a long story short. everyone needs a friend to hunt with. Flippinstik, We hike back in public land and it can be difficult. but PM me if you want and as for that fact it would be nice to meet some of the upper east Tn crowd as in the (tricities) good luck to all

Hey guys, I'm a freshman at ETSU and know the tva and public land in the tri-cities and rogersville area like the back of my hand. I usually hunt alone but there are a few areas that would definately be fun to hit with a few ppl. Also, If any of you have any kind of watercraft, there may just be a couple of un-touched honey holes in the tri-cities. PM me if u have a boat and might want to check out some boat accesible land. I can PM back pics/maps of those spots too. Also, if anyone likes deer drives, we may need a few extra guns this fall on some drives that usually produce 20+ deer. These drives are safe and fully planned out but it takes one idjit to mess em up. Usually it involves shooting at alot of running/walking does lol(hawkins/hancock co)

deer hunting i only hunt alone. it is a solitary sport by nature. coyote hunting, different beast all together. a partner helps increase success in yote hunting, hurts you deer hunting
