You could also strategically squirt dabs of silicone tub sealant at the contact points to dampen the sound...

My Summit clanks sometimes - it depends really on how well I do of positioning them correctly when nesting them to pack in/out.

Easy fix is to just find where they are rubbing/clanking and wrap that area with rubber electrical tape.

I use the little bungees with the small round ball like they attach tarps to carpot type hangings....these come in plastic container with other assorted bungees and also are sold separately. I use one on each side and they are quick to get on and off and keep the stand completely quiet!
