Question about unit L

First time Tennessee hunter this year. Been studying the book but still have a couple of questions. It says 3 does per day. Do I need to buy a 094 permit only to shoot does during rifle season? After buying said tag is it good for x numbers of does or is it good for 3 a day all season long?

Yes, the Type 94 permit is required for ALL AGES, including juviniles under the age of 13 to participate in the Special Seasons Antlerless hunt held unit-wide in Unit L and in select counties in the other units during the g/m/a season.
With that permit, the bag limit for a Unit l hunter would be 3 antlerless deer a day for the entire season.
That is NOT a signal by TWRA that all of Unit l is overpopulated and that antlerless deer need to be hammered at every opportunity on every property. It merely reflects the observation that some hunters have very limited days of hunting time, and need the ability to kill multiple deer for herd control to meet their management objectives on their property on those limited days.

You would also need the Hunt/Fish Combo license (Type 01) and the Big Game Gun (Type 09). The Type 01 lets you hunt. The Type 09 lets you hunt deer with a gun. The Type 94 lets you hunt does.

Thanks, Alan. I took it as a give that he had the licenses, but well know the pitfalls of assuming.
