The big boys are already going nocturnal here in Alabama, pulled my cams today so I could put them on my land in TN this weekend. I had over 200 pics in a little over a week and the bucks that I would classify as above average have already went nocturnal. Got plenty of small bucks still coming in though. Off to find the natural food sources now. That is all.

The deer that were showing up on my cam shifted AUG 19th mainly to a nightime pattern. These Recent rains and cold front on its way should get them more active- I hope.

Mine also.Once thy make it through their 2nd hunting season they dissappear.

why would they move in the daytime around here.they can stay in one place and eat for days,tons of acorns

These have went nocturnal....I believe they are 3.5 or older deer.

How can you tell from a few pictures that the deer have gone nocturnal? I rarely see nice bucks on my farm in the daytime early in bow season. Now once the rut starts it is different. I think it is too early to make the determination.
