I've got most of mine together now. Just waiting on some other stuff and I will have everything to reload my 460, 204, and 270. I've been waiting for a long time to do this and for my 270 I have a new barrel to break in.

Lee collet dies can be tricky to adjust so I am told. Crimp dies are for straight walled cases. I would get Redding Deluxe 3 die sets for each caliber. If these are to high, then RCBS is a good second choice.
I`d think you need to ask many, many questions, or find someoe who has a great reputation, not a wannabe, for good information on loading.
I only buy Redding dies, so that is my suggestion. Midway, Graf & Sons has them.

What action are your 7MM & 308 in. If semi auto, pump or lever action, you might want a cramp die. If bolt not needed.
Also if one of the above actions, you may want a small base die also.

Hate to say it, but if you're just starting out, I'd lean toward the basic 2 die sets from either RCBS or Redding. Don't fool with neck sizing only until you've loaded a few hundred rounds and really have the feel for it. Otherwise, you'll be in for hours at the reloading bench cranking out rounds which may not even fit in your rifle. Then you get the joy of pulling all those bullets and resizing the cases (been there, done that 15 years ago).
For a newbie, keep it simple.
Best advice... get with somebody who reloads and knows what they are doing, and actually watch them and let them help you with it.
It's not hard at all once you get the hang of it. But starting out there's a ton of mistakes you'll make which you could avoid by watching somebody who's already made those mistakes and can warn you about them.

I like Lee dies and have nothing but good things to say about them, including the collet die. What problems have you had DA?

Everything should be consistant, as long as the stoke is consistant. I use a 4 hole Lee turret press, a rock chucker and a single Lee "O" press.
P.S. Why is 126 your lucky number?

I have some Lee, Redding, Rcbs and Hornady. My personal favorite is the Hornady Custom Grade New Dimension with a micrometer seating stem. I don't crimp any rifle rounds.

I put a light crimp on most every round I load to ensure the bullet doesn't move from recoil from the one in the chamber. It is all about preference and your personal experiences.

Find a mentor and don't be afraid to ask questions, even if they sound stupid to you. Reloading is fun but it can be dangerous if you don't pay attention to the details. Good luck. I like the RCBS two die sets for rifles, they work good for me. I do have RCBS crimp dies for 7.62x39 and some pistol rounds. You will get hooked on reloading, buy a set of dies and tell the wife you need a matching gun for the dies.

Good advice in all the above. You can always get the RCBS Reloading Vidieo or similar.
