Thinking of ordering about a hundred, for 1.34$ each 3 ft. I hear they make good wine. Has anyone got experience with them?

Got alot of wild ones on both my places. Deer love to browse them heavily. I havent made anything out of them although alot of people do.

Yup, see a lot of them in the wild, and deer do eat them (both the berries and the plant).

If they would do well in your area, I would think they are already there. Pretty common brushy weed in most places I've lived.

a lot of times I see them hanging over the water on the river bank. But they do grow in deer's reach plenty of places. Good to know deer eat em too. I learn a lot from this forum even though I am not really into QDM, but it sure helps knowing what plants are where on a deer's preference list.

Just remember that elderberries are poisonous until ripe. And all parts of the plant are poisonous (to humans).
