My buddy asked me this and I had no idea of the answer , but luckily I know somewhere where I can get the answer . Can you check a deer in while you are at your hunting spot or lease with your I phone and use a screenshot pic of the permanent kill tag untill you have access to a printer to print it off . Also what about checking another animal in after that ?

No screenshots at this point. Once we have the new app up and running (next spring turkey is the current plan), it won't be a problem.

But, there is now a link on our website to pre-print a blank permanent kill tag. You then fill in all of the information and include the transaction number you get when you check it in.

You can also pre-print the temporary kill tags that you would need for your next hunt.

Awesome . Did not know about the blank tags . Thanks SCN . Although I have all these fancy things I never check deer online , just like going to the check station like I have done since I started hunting , it's just part of the hunt for me .

And, our plans are for the checking stations to stay for those that want to use them and continue that tradition!

Is the state not authorizing any new check in stations? The local corner store has been trying to get set up to be a check in since he opened, and so far has not been approved. The previous owner at that location was approved, but the new one can't seem to make it happen.

Just basing this on what the current owner has told me, and it would be a lot more convenient for me to check there.
