I myself just got a home mix planted that I use of Oats, Winter peas and Winter Wheat. Literally got the last seeds finished up just as the rain started falling. Hoping it turns out good. I know lots of people use clover but just curious what all types of different things you guys use.

We used a few different mixes this year.
On the ridge top plots that we also plant in summer plots we just use a mix of wheat, oats, and crimson clover.
On the ridge top plots that we don't want to replant every year, we planted wheat, crimson clover and arrow-leaf clover. With these plot we will go in around the middle of July and bushhog, and run a disk over them, and they will reseed themselves.
In our low land plots we planted a mix of 50% durana clover and 50% red clover, and used wheat as a cover crop.

I've tried more plant species than I can count, but my favorites are cereal grains (wheat/oats), annual clovers (crimson and arrowleaf), Austrian Winter Peas, and several different varieties of brassica (Dwarf Essex Rape, turnips, etc.)

Most of my annual plots this year were pretty basic - winter wheat, crimson clover, 7 top and purple top turnips.
For the perennials it was winter wheat, crimson, durana, patriot, and red clover.
This rain will definitely help!!
