i live in region 3 ...cumberland co / roane ..and there is a compant still logging trees on the mt roosevelt wma...should they be gone since deer season is started ?

They will continue to log. Mt. Roosevelt is really a state forest, it is just open with statewide seasons. They logged well into deer season on apiece I hunt a few years ago.

Deer are nosey and will come to the sound of chain saws and other stuff just to investigate ! I killed a decent buck once by sitting near where a friend was cutting fire wood!

Not deer but i killed a gobbler once that was shock gobblin at the sound of chainsaws and trees falling. He was only a couple hundred yards away from them

If they are not cutting your stand, I say keep hunting. in my situation a few years ago, they were actually cutting the place I hunted.

BTW, loggers have been cutting on one of my leases for the past couple of years. Even into deer season. It has only made the hunting better.
