I GOT IT!!!! Thanks for the advice guys, i soaked it overnight in wd40. Took it to my local sporting goods store where i bought it and 4 of us got ahold of it and broke it loose. Thats why i buy from them. I might overpay a bit but a big chain store would not have helped me, and to me that goes a long way. Stay tuned im gonna start shooting Saturday im sure there are alot of questions to come \:\)

Good people down there. I'll agree they are a little high on some stuff but you don't have to wait for it to ship and they are very knowledgeable and will steer you in the right direction.

Savage seems to have a problem with this. On my last Savage I went to take the breech plug out to do the initial cleaning. It would not budge. I got some help, and we still couldn't break it loose. I ended up having to send it back to Savage so they could check to see if they had cross-threaded the plug when they installed it.

My guess is they are doing a half-azzed job of lubing the plug and then installing with an air wrench. It was a major pain to deal with, but a great rifle after the initial issue.
