On this last day for centerfires I went out to one of my overcalled places and just set up along a travel way. The first one came along just as I was getting settled in and he did a bamflop at about 45yds. I finished setting up my seat, shooting sticks, and etc. and the 2nd one came along about 45min later. He was taken at about 110yds or so and staggered about 25yds before collapsing for good. I was using my 6.5 Dtech with 85g Sierra bullets today. A great hunt. PH

No I didn't do any calling. This place is heavily called and I think they run from calls. Early summer I did call one in and missed a gimme shot!! I have killed 5 since with no calling-I have had pretty good success by learning and watching travel ways. They are beginning to fur up a bit and don't look so raggedy. PH
