I'll be taking my two oldest boys hunting on the juvenile hunt and also with me when I hunt some during the muzzleloader and rifle seasons. They are 10 &13, so they don't have to have a license. What do I have to do in the field to be able to legally transport the deer to the check-in station ?

Actually, your 13 year old does have to have a Young Sporstman license. And, if they (both ages)participate in the antlerless deer hunts during the gun season they both will need a Type 94 permit.
In addition, both are of the age where they are required to be Hunter Safety certified before hunting.
I'm thinking, but not sure, that the Yound Sportsman license will come with a temporary kill tag.
For the 10 year old, when he kills one he will not have a tag for his first animal (or calendar day animals). You take it to a checking station (or the info to a computer) and check it in. He should be in the system due to the Hunter Safety requirement. When he checks in the first deer he will be given, or you will print out, a permanent harvest tag for the deer just checked in, and a temporary tag for his next hunt. He will be required to follow the tagging procedures with tags from that point on.
