I am not a fan of commercial seed mixtures with the picture of a big buck on the bag but i had some gander mountain gift cards and bought 2 bags of this stuff and planted a 1/2 acre plot just to try it. Even with the drought this stuff has grown amazingly well and the deer are absolutely killing it. I thought maybe this would be a late season food source but i dont think it will make it too december. I will definately plant more of this next year. Just a heads up in case someone else was wondering about it. I have never had this kind of usage out of any brassica until now.

Biologic from my use has worked very well. Not all "buck in a bag" is created equal. Some of it if you are planting small areas or need a unique blend they are not bad. Just read the labels and know what you are paying for.

I planted a bag of maximum a week ago last saturday. It looks to have a pretty good start. I'm just afraid its not going to have a chance to get going, there are deer tracks ALL over it.

Checked it sunday. About a 1/4 acre plot. 1 spot the size of a wash tub left. Amazing at the utilization this plot received. Definatley will plant more next year.

Thanks for the info. I'll give an acre a try next year.
Can you tell me more about where you planted it? Ridgetop or bottomland, full sun, quality of soil?
