In the past, deer often ignored my plots if acorns were available. But over the years I've seen more a move towards dual use, even in a good acorn year. I have no idea why. Even with the acorns falling I always get good usage on my plots. It may be beacause there are no other plots for miles around.
My experience as well. They will hit our plots no matter what the acorn production is like each year IF the plots are limed. No other food plots for miles. Finding good acorns dropping a couple hundred yards from the plots close to thick areas is key on our place.

I doint think deer ever stop using my plots, but will spend more time in the WOs when they are dropping for sure.

Deer typically use our plots up until second weekend of bow season, regardless of acorn crop, before going nocturnal for several weeks before they return.

Watched a buck and 2 does walk through our plots last week and into our sawtooth grove where they stayed for about 30 minutes eating the acorns.

We have had a pretty good year here for acorns but the deer have been relentless in my buck oats/ladino clover plot but haven't touched my biologic maximum yet as expected.

Deer are definitely feeding in my plots. Have hundreds of trail-cam pics of feeding activity, plus lots of sparring and doe-pestering.
