I have the Excal Vortex with Shadowzone scope. The "speed" setting is just a magnification change with the reticle in the second focal plane. Or is it the first? Anyway, I also have an extra 1.25-4x24 Trijicon Accupoint laying around. I like being able to change the magnification, but am limited to a single aiming point instead of four. The Shadowzone also has a lot more Sun flare. Any real advantage to a multi-point reticle scope on a crossbow? I shoot a single pin on my compound. I'm not trying to shoot the nuts out of a squirrel's mouth at 50 yards, but I still want a clean shot to the boiler room on a deer.

I have the multi reticle scope on my Excalibur and love it. It dummy proofs it. Plus I don't know why you would need to change the magnification @the bow ranges anyway

I would like to be able to reduce the amount of magnification. It seems to be about 3.5x when set to my speed of 330fps.
