How long will it take the ground to dry enough to disc it after all this rain? I got about half my field done Sunday evening but darkness got me before I could finish and get the seed down.

Really depends on the fields location. Some soil just naturally holds water better, i.e. a bottom holds water really good compared to a hill out in the open it will take longer. Sunlight is another variable. Soil type probably matters too.

After a rainfall i can disk with my atv one the day after and i did. depends on the area, for big tractors with good cutting disks i would say about 3 days as we do that also and even after a large rain in some of the wayne county red clay soil and hard cutover we can cut right awya.

Bolted 2 railroad ties together and drug them around to help smooth it out today. Then planted wheat and oats so hopefully the rain will come that they're talking about in a few days.

Got it finished this evening so hopefully I can get the seed in the ground this weekend.
