what are the rules and regulations about hunting or shooting a deer from a boat?

You must have the landowners permission on any land you are shooting onto.

The boat must have stopped any forward motion from any mechanical motor before shooting.

What about on WMA land, assuming the proper licenses, and boat with no forward motion. The reason i ask is that i live on Old Hickory and see deer pretty much every time i fish in my cove in the mornings (most of the bank is WMA land).

If it is WMA land open for hunting and you are in a boat with no forward motion from mechanical means, it would be legal unless there are WMA restrictions. I can think of one WMA that does not allow water access for hunting, but I don't think Old Hickory has that restriction.

What if the deer is on the corps side of the property?Still need permission from the landowner?
