Congrats! You can fish anywhere the big bass boats go plus a lot of places they can't. Great for getting into those shallow places where the big rockfish live in the summer.I have a similar type setup with 16ft all welded seark with a 25 johnson. You know the plan!

Thats a fine looking boat, I love the flat bottom tin boats. I have ridden in a 17 ft Grizzly with a 40 Merc / center console, so that's just one step above and it's a nice boat, so yours should be perfect for smaller waters.
