What size group should the 150 gr bolt cutters shoot out of a Vortex Excalibur at 20 yds? I'm having a problem of them shooting inconsistentl. I;m using the recommended carbon arrows. Group size is about 3-4 inches. Shots about an inch with the field points. Thanks

I would think 2" max at 20 yards but that is just me.

I was shooting mine at 30yds. and I ended up cutting the vanes off of 2 of my arrows due to the groups being so tight.

My Boltcutters are grouping with the field points. You have to spin the shaft with the broadhead installed and look for runout. If the head has any wobble it will not group very well. The faster the bolt moves the worse it gets. You can often heat the end of the bolt and spin the broadhead/insert to even out the glue. The insert must be perfectly centered in the bolt. I've read that having the blades aligned with the vanes helps also.

I have been shoot their carbon arrow and boltcutter broadheads for years now and I cannot aim at the same point at any distance out to 60 yards if I want to be able to use these arrow again. I can shoot a 2" group at 50 yards, forget 20 yards. They will pile up on top of each other at 20 yards. Very good combination.

I shoot the bolt cutters that came with my Excalibur on the bolts that came with it and if I am shooting well I can't aim and the same spot twice without risking a "robinhood".
