295 is my choice, more consistant and better penetration.

I have killed most of my deer with the 295g but have killed several with the 245g.The 295g will remain my favorite .i use a max load of the 777 pellets.deer dont normaly go far if any distance.

i recommend the 350 gn power belt
i would not use the 245 ever and truthfully the 295 aint worth a crap
i have killed several with 245 and 295 and 348 i prefer the 405 lead hp power belt it is truly unstoppable

couldnt pay me to use any kind of powerbelt.
lots of better choices out there imo. hornady sst, tc shockwave and barnes would be what i looked at.

I have a Knight LK93 and I use 295grain PB. with 90 grains of pyrodex. And still use a #11 cap. That is a tackdriver with that combo. Nothing I've tried shoots better. And Several Deer have met their end at the hands of that gun.

The heavier the better with powerbelts. since they arent the best at mushrooming, you want heavy hitters. Which is why i was very very reluctant to steer away from my beloved powerbelts and went to a old school and time tested sure fire performer Maxi-Hunter in 350g or hornady great plains in 385g. Neither of those seem to mushroom very well on the size of deer around here but they more than make up for it in the shock they send through the deer when they hit. not to mention they are cheaper than powerbelts by a long shot.
