Have any of you ever gone to Reelfoot on a DIY hunt and been successfull? I have never hunted the lake. I figure I will get some interesting answers.

You can do good but you will have to do some scouting and know where you are going. You will get in some trouble easy out there with the water as low as it is right now. There are lots of stumps just under the water and you can get high centered or tare up a boat quick right now.
We hunted there last weekend and both days saw boats being towed out because of something getting torn up. If you don't have a light boat with a mud motor stay away until the lake comes up a few feet. We were driving in more mud then water in most places off the ditches or main channels.
