Awesome creek smallies. I used to do a lot of that in the Stones River around Murfreesboro, I need to get back to it sometime...A 2pound 9oz smallie puts up a heck of a fight! Did you catch your minnows or buy some and bring em with you.

Good ole cast net. There is only one species of minnow I will use for bait and the rest are thrown back. I even caught a baby smallmouth in the cast net.

is there any black perch in those creeks? Numbers seem to be fading here in wayne county yes they are in there, but I was fishing with baits that they don't usually hit so I didn't catch any. Normally I see a lot of those in any of the creeks around here. Assuming you are referring to rock bass as a black perch.
