Fish for whatever you want, why are you worried about what I fish for?I like fishing for bass, especially smallmouth,I just like it.A carp being smarter?Dont know, hard to believe a vegeterian would be smarter than a meat eating predator \:\)

Anyone that thinks they can't learn anything from someone else has a lot to learn! Imo
I didnt say I couldn learn anything from anyone,I said I have no interest in learning anything about fishing for carp.

I am not worried about what you fish for, but as for carp being smarter, if you had fished for them like I do, you might know what I am talking about. Just cause something is a predator doesn't make it smarter. Carp are far from vegetarians too \:D they eat quite a bit of bugs and crawfish in their diet.

Not to mention if you really want a challenge, gar fishing is a blast! Those guys will put up a fight like a freight train. Very fun to catch

my biggest gar was under 6 lbs and they fight vicious but not as hard as some of the carp I have caught. A 4 lb common carp will outfight a 4 lb longnose gar. But gar are definitely a challenge to get a hook set in their jaws.

Never caught an alligator gar in SC. I have caught a bunch of BIG long nose gar. I had one at the boat on Santee that would have probably hit 70 or 80 pounds. He decided to make a run and broke my line.
