Yeah, they'll work but you have to move it every day or so or else they will get used to it. I've also just hung fertilizer bags or grocery store bags off tree limbs, fence posts or whatever so the wind will make them move. Works for awhile, hopefully untill your seed sprouts.

I always wait till rain is just about right on me for big seeds,turkeys are all over my place.

I just buy my brother-in-law a couple cases of cheap beer and set him out there. Seems to keep them away ok. Might get a few buzzards after a day or two.

I actually had to re-sow one area last week. Rounded the bend and there was 14 in there scratching and peckng for all they were worth.
