Your license number has to be on it, and you cannot leave it unattended for a period of longer than 24 hours without the approval of the wma manager per the hunting guide.

I think the treestand rule applies to any property left on the wma... get the area manager's permission to leave it more than 24 hours. I have wanted to build a natural blind for more than a year but haven't actually done it yet. Then I wouldn't have to worry about leaving property on public land... just could not cut down any live plants.

I'm of the opinion that if TWRA considers a blind the same as a treestand, they need to specifically mention blinds in the same category. Otherwise, I can't see it holding up in a court of law.

Rule and Regulation 1660-01-14-.13 (k)(2):

2. "Leaving any vehicle or other personal property unattended for longer than 24 hours, without prior permission of the Area manager or other authorized person, is prohibited and any property so left may be impounded by the Area Manager or
an authorized person, and may be disposed of according to state procedures. In the event unattended property interferes with a safe and orderly management of the area, it may be impounded at any time".

As you can see, the regulation is not specific to tree stands. It covers all unattended (for longer than 24 hours) personal property that has not been authorized by the Area Manager. Blinds, trail cameras, etc. would fall within this regulation.
