I should have spread seed on Tues. Been too wet since then, just didn't feel like I could spread seed without rutting the yard up. Guess I'll wait, and if we don't get rain I'll put out the sprinklers.

3 acres done last night, 12 done today. Also came back and overseeded a couple of clover patches. I am done except for a small plot behind my house in AL. Bring on the rain!

Got my wheat and oats in last night. Looks like we are getting a little rain. I tore up the ground pretty good first and broadcasted. I was hoping for a hard rain to beat it in for me a little. If not, I guess the boys and I can have a good dove shoot on Sunday afternoon. Planting cover crops is considered a normal agricultural practice isn't it?

My rain gauge showed 1.2" this morning, I am grateful. That is the best rain I have received here at my house in at least six months, if not longer.
