I know a guy who owns a farm in Crossville and they're covered up in bears. They get them on all their trail cameras. If you look on a map it's only 25-30 miles so I would imagine they are starting to expand their ranges.

I CANT believe there are bears at pea ridge. That blows my mind. My farm is very close to there.
Question: How would deer on my property react to a bear? I assume it would run the deer off since they prob have never seen a bear.

If you had a good population of black bears, the fawns might take a beating, but the adults.....No Problem there. Watch them in Cade's Cove some time. The deer give the bears a wide berth, but they don't leave the area.

I hunt on a bear reserve quite a bit. Doesn't seem to bother the deer. I do however, see way more bears than deer.

I am not TWRA, and cannot say for sure none have been moved out that way, but I can tell you I am not familiar with any restocking efforts in that part of the state. I do know that if TWRA was considering moving bears to that part of the state then there would have been many public hearings and a huge outcry by the general public fearing their babies would be carried away.
I can also tell you that with fall approaching, it is not unusual for young male bears to move vast distances in search of food and unoccupied territory. I could easily imagine a bear from big south fork making its was across the plateau to pea ridge...as the crow flies, pea ridge is not really that far from big south fork, at least not for a black bear.
We have seen black bears travel several hundred miles in a very short time period. One actually became rather famous because he would always return to the smokies after he would be moved. That is until a poacher killed him while he was returning to the park from Virginia.
So, to sum it up, I highly doubt TWRA has moved any bears to that area.
