So has anyone seen deer usage from a Japanese Persimmon? I know my Fuyu does not drop its fruit. Any luck with them?

The deer or bear one have gobbled up the ones I have quickly. That was not alot of fruit though, perhaps 2 dozen last year. My trees are now 4 years old so not into much production yet. Seems like I shook them off in November.

I think its always good to have diversity for a variety of reasons.. Would I make them a major component though? No. But I would definitely have a few.

I know this-My Wife buys them after she strips the neighbor's tree clean. They taste 50 times sweeter than regular persimmons as I recall. Don't know if fertilizer will help, but in my citrus fruit growing days I found that any fertilizer increased crop yield so much branches broke. Once on the ground I swear they stay good for days and days.
